Silicon Carbide Heating Rod

Electrothermal elements including molybdenum disilicide rods, silicon carbide rods, and molybdenum wires are widely used in various equipment such as high-temperature furnaces and experimental furnaces. Alloy materials like nickel-chromium (1150℃) and iron-chromium (1400℃) are commonly used; pure metals such as molybdenum (1800℃) and tungsten (2400℃) require a protective atmosphere; silicon carbide elements can reach 1500℃, and molybdenum disilicide rods can reach 1800℃, meeting diverse high-temperature needs.

  • Molybdenum disilicide rods, silicon carbide rods, molybdenum wires, molybdenum plugs, molybdenum electrodes are widely used as heating elements in high-temperature electric furnaces, high-temperature furnaces, vacuum atmosphere furnaces, experimental furnaces, box furnaces, tube furnaces, resistance furnaces, lifting furnaces, bell furnaces, trolley furnaces, push plate furnaces, roller furnaces, mesh belt furnaces, and tunnel furnaces.
  • Electrothermal elements refer to the technical application where electrical energy is converted into heat energy through resistance elements.
  • Among the commonly used electrothermal materials in industry, alloy materials are widely used. For example, nickel-chromium alloy has a maximum heating temperature of 1150℃, and iron-chromium alloy has a maximum heating temperature of 1400℃.
  • High-melting-point pure metal materials generally have a higher service temperature than alloys, but they need to be used in a certain protective atmosphere. For example, platinum has a maximum heating temperature of 1600℃, molybdenum 1800℃, tantalum 2200℃, and tungsten 2400℃.
  • Silicon carbide elements and molybdenum disilicide elements also have high service temperatures, are hard and brittle, and are used after forming. For example, silicon carbide rods and silicon carbide tubes made of silicon carbide have a maximum heating temperature of 1500℃, and molybdenum disilicide rods made of molybdenum disilicide have a maximum heating temperature of 1800℃.
