The GWL instrument should undergo metrological verification once a year. If the instrument error exceeds the allowable range, it is usually caused by moisture, dust, or corrosive gases. In such cases, cleaning and drying the interior of the instrument can typically resolve the issue. It is strongly advised not to correct the instrument error by modifying the Sc parameter.
The GWL series instruments are advanced, maintenance-free devices that do not allow users to recalibrate them manually. They employ automatic zero-adjustment technology, ensuring long-term use without any zero drift. Additionally, digital correction technology eliminates the need for less stable adjustable resistors. As a result, the instrument itself does not develop errors over time due to extended use. Any minor errors are likely caused by moisture or corrosion, and accuracy should be restored through drying and cleaning rather than recalibration.
If drying and cleaning fail to restore accuracy, the instrument should be treated as faulty and returned to the manufacturer for repair.
The GWL series instruments come with 60 months of free maintenance from the date of manufacture. However, if damage is caused by improper user operation or if the warranty period has expired, appropriate repair fees will be charged. For all instruments requiring return for repair, please clearly describe the fault symptoms and possible causes to ensure accurate and comprehensive restoration.
